  They charged me 20E for excess mileage which was fair enough as I had driven over 400km. I said that they could use the money owed to me for the fuel I had left in the tank. They then acted as if they didnt know what I was talking about. I pointed to the Contract I had signed where they had stated in biro that this was the case. They then decided that I owed them "taxes" on the hire and that it would be equal to the amount of fuel I had returned.

  When I picked up the car I was charged 30E for half tank of fuel that was already in the car and told that it would be refunded depending on how much fuel was in the car when it was returned the following day. I returned the car with 1/4 of a tank of fuel (15E worth going by their figures)

  AUTOS AGUIRRE is the best option to rent a car at Gibraltar Airport. They have an office inside the airport and on the other side of the border as well (spanish side).

  I chose Autos Aguirre after looking at the google reviews for the other local Car Hire places in La Linea. A complaint against the others was with the strange charges for fuel. Auto Aguirre were meant to be better.
